Research area and interests


Prof. Yevhen Yashchyshyn received the M.Sc. degree in radioelectronics engineering from Lviv University of Technology (LUT), Ukraine, in 1979 and the Ph.D. degree in microwave devices and antennas from the Moscow Institute of the Electronic and Mathematics, Moscow, Russia, in 1986, and the D.Sc. (habilitation) degree in electronics from the WUT, Warsaw, Poland, in 2006. Since 1999, he has been with the Institute of Radioelectronics, WUT, as an Associate Professor. In 2002, he became the Head of the Antenna Laboratory, IR WUT, and since 2009, Head of Radiocommunications Division of IR. His research interests are in the areas of antenna theory and techniques, smart beamforming, and design of communications and radar antennas, photonic antennas, radio-over-fiber systems and applications. He has published more than 150 technical papers and two books and received eight patents. He received the 2008 EuMC Microwave Prize, Amsterdam, for reconfigurable antenna work.

· Microwave Signal Generator SMF100A 100 kHz – 43.5 GHz;

· Spectrum Analyzer: Agilent PSA E4440A 3 Hz ÷ 26.5GHz with VSA89600 software for digital demodulation;

· Spectrum Analyzer: Rohde&Schwartz FSA 9 kHz ÷ 30GHz;

Software

· Electromagnetic simulator FEKO;

· Electromagnetic simulator QuickWave;

· Computing software MATLAB;

· RF and microwave design software Microwave Office;
