· study of the FSO link performance under controlled turbulence and fog atmospheric conditions

· models for prediction of attenuation from visibility data

· investigation of LDPC codes and time-diversity on free-space optical links

· optical wavelengths comparison for different weather conditions

· study of rateless codes for combating impairments due to scintillation in FSO links
